Science Fair

Bailee was required to do a science fair project this year for her science grade. Ugh! The original project she chose was different but we found out someone in her class decided to copy her so we changed at the last minute. when I say at the last minute that is exactly what I meant. The afternoon before it was due ( less than a full 24 hours) she decided to change from bones in vinegar to earlobes and tongues.

A family friend had mentioned that only half on their family could roll their tongues and the other half couldn't. All of those who could not roll their tongues had something else in common. They all had attached earlobes, meaning their earlobes went right into the side of their face without any definition at the point where they meet. Those in this family who could roll their tongues, had detached earlobes meaning they had earlobes that hung down slightly at the bottom. Bailee decided to see if there was a connection.

We went to the mall and to some other stores and talked to anyone who would let us.

The results were that although both are hereditary there is no connection between the two.

Bailee did an awesome job and really did most of the work by herself. only having help on things she couldn't really do by herself, (who is going to let an 11 year old girl approach a bunch of strangers all day, by her self) and with some graph making and typing skills from her dad.

Good Job Bailee!
