Christmas 2008 (better late than never)

I know I am late posting Christmas but I have had some trouble putting the video on, And since Mike had some important resumes that took priority, Well I haven't been able to get it done the way I want.better some than none right.

First. . . we get together on Christmas eve every year with Mikes family to act out the Christmas story.

Mary and Joseph

A Shepherd. . . er uh maybe a sheep? Either the kids are getting too old to enjoy this or they didn't get to do what they wanted. I'm not sure but they weren't as animated as they usually are. well except Harrisen and Jordan they got into their parts pretty good.

A happy wise man
A new star. . .( or an old flashlight)

And an awesome Angel

Second. . . Christmas jammies. Aunt Michele found a great deal on Jammies last year the day after Christmas so I didn't make them this year but it was fun for all the cousins to have the same thing. I should have gotten a picture of the whole group, oh well. All the girls had the red shirts and the boys had light blue. Everyone had the penguin pants. Uncle Martin's mom was even nice enough to crochet all of us some cute comfy slippers. Thanks!

For the next part first you have to know we have always gone super simple for Christmas. we have never gotten anything expensive that we didn't need. One year we got a TV but if we hadn't we wouldn't wave been able to watch conference that year. Since we don't watch much TV and not even videos that often I felt it was more of a need than a want.
This year we were blessed beyond what I could ever imagine. It didn't cost us a thing but the kids were more than thrilled with what they got. Especially Kirsti. Listen to how excited she is.
Here is where the video I wanted on should go. Sorry maybe later. It was so funny to see Kirsti running back and forth to everyone begging them to open their Santa gift so she could see if they got the big one and she walked right passed it several times without even noticing.(Anyone have any ideas how to get a video on that is possibly too big for the normal way to download, call me) Here is what happened when I finally pointed out the pile in the middle of the floor.

Just in case you couldn't understand what all the screaming was about, we got a WII. Santa was very generous this year! Thanks Santa!

Harrisen didn't really know what all the excitement was all about but you should have seen his reaction to the Mario cart game he got. He went around hugging it all day and he had never even seen it played so, I'm not sure he fully knew what it was. This video too was too long to post. Ugh!

All in all we had a great Christmas (aside from worrying about uncle Mark who had some health problems that put him in the hospital Christmas morning, we are glad he is doing better now and we had fun having Preston over for Christmas). The kids are even still enjoying their gifts (which almost never happens, after all it is two weeks after the big day you know).

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too and wish you the best for the coming year.

I LOVE the kids' reactions! They are so cute! And I am loving those pajamas. The red shirts are darling!

I'm glad that after the rough year it has been, you had a fantastic Christmas. My kids would be jealous of the Wii!:)

I'm so glad your family had a great Christmas! You all deserved it. The story of how your Wii came to be made me cry. It's so amazing how the Lord blesses us through the kindness of others.
