Bear Lake

Every time Bailee sees anything on TV or movies that shows a beautiful blue body of water we hear "can we go there?" for over a year now she has been begging to go to some beach that had bright blue water for her to play in. so at the end of our vacation week we decided to make a day trip to Bear Lake. We didn't tell anyone where we were going just that we were going for a drive and that it might be a good idea to have a swimsuit. The fact that we had just stopped at Jenny Lake the day before and none of them had suits helped. It really wasn't that bad of a drive even just to let them play for 1 day. We left early and came home late, but didn't spend the night away from home.
Here is Bailee playing on the beach by the pretty blue water...a dream come true.
Madison enjoying the warm water.
I think Kirsti is laying out...or just enjoying the warm water.
Mike and Alex spent most of their time like this....Mike Sleeping, Alex texting, and sleeping.
Look Mom I can float.
Me too
We made mermaids (this one is Madison)
Lots of them (back to front. Harrisen,Kirsti, Bailee, and Madison)

Madison and I made this really cool turtle. we even found a bunch of these really small shells to add texture to his shell.

The wind was blowing (hard) but we all had a good time and came home tired and burnt....spray-on sunscreen works better when there is no wind. we topped the day off with a famous raspberry shake and headed home.
