Christmas Tags
Steph Tagged me with these fun Christmas tags. Here they are:
Christmas Tag:
1. Wrapping paper or gift bag? Wrapping paper
2. When do you put the tree up? The day after Thanksgiving
3. When do you take the tree down? Sometime around new years, either a few days before or a few days after, depends on how much help from my kids I want.
4. Eggnog?? I LOVED my moms when I was a kid but she hasn't made it since I was in Jr high and the stuff at the store just isn't the same. I haven't had any for years.
5. Favorite gift received as a child? Books. Yeah I was kind of a nerd then too.
6. Hardest person to buy for?? My husband. He always says "Don't get me anything I don't need anything." UGH! Maybe this year he will get what he asked for.
7. Easiest person to buy for? Madison, get her a stuffed animal and she is happy. She doesn't even care what it looks like she loves them all.
8. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes.
9. Mail or email Christmas cards? Christmas cards .
10. Worst Christmas gift ever received? I don't remember anything too terrible.
11. Favorite Christmas movie? I like all of the old classics, espeially the non-cartoon ones.
12. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Any time I see something fitting. I started last December for this year, The best time to get Christmas Jammie's is at the after Christmas sales, you can get great prices for next years Jammie's.
13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only for The white elephant gift at our annual couples Christmas party. This year we gave all those bottles of sage that my father in law gave us a few years back. I think 6 bottles of sage is more that any one family could use in one lifetime.
14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Christmas candy. Well actually this year it has been soft ginger cookies. I have made them 5 times in the last three weeks.
15. Lights on the tree? Yes. White.
16. Favorite Christmas song? I love Christmas carols but this year I am liking, Joy to the world, & Christmas cookies the best.
17. Least favorite Christmas song? Christmas Shoes. It's a little over played.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Christmas Eve we travel. We go to Mikes sisters house and let the cousins act out the Christmas story and open their Christmas Jammie's.
Christmas day we stay home. FINALLY! I love it We used to travel all day, Things are much more relaxing and enjoyable now.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Oh yes.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star, but not one with all the tinsel and lights, I got enough of that as a kid.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? On Christmas Eve they open Jammie's. The rest is Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? I would have to agree with Steph on this one. . .Whiny kids. They turn rotten this time of year.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? One I haven't used for a few years, I'm trying to find the perfect tree skirt to match but For a while I did what I called the "Love of Christ" tree. Pictures of Christ and His ministry along with hearts I made out of fabric. I LOVE it. I just got tired of seeing the tree stand, I really need to find something that I like to go with it so I can use it again. This year we have the snowman theme and it is my second favorite.
24. Favorite Christmas dinner? Ham and scalloped potatoes, Or the traditional Turkey with all the trimmings, just like Thanksgiving.
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A job for my hubby!

Thanks SO much for the tip on the Christmas jammies! I am so running out the day after Christmas.
Would you pretty please e-mail me your gingersnape cookie recipe? Jeremy received some as a gift at work and they dipped half of them in white chocolate. Talk about making a wonderful thing even better!
