Since it was so warm last week, I decided to hang the Christmas lights before the really cold weather sets in. It took a little longer that I thought since I had to re-attach the rain gutter as I went along.
By the time I was finished it was dark and the kids were having a blast digging through the box of outdoor lights that our friends gave us a few years back. At the bottom of the box they found a rope light. Here is what we did for the rest of the night.
Even though it was cold by then and they all had bare feet (the rope lights hurt when they hit cold bare feet) everyone was sad when we finally decided it was time to call it a night!

that looks SO cool. we've never done lights on our house, but when Ava saw her granni's house had lights, she said "OH PRETTY!!!" I guess the years of us being lame are officially over! :)
I hope you enjoy all the lights. I am glad we did not have to make the long move with that box of lights.
I love lights on the house, but simple is good for me!
We put ours up on Sat. while it was still warm as well. But I made Jeff promise we can't have an official lighting them up ceremony until after Thanksgiving!
Looks like the kids had fun! They are so creative!
Did you happen to notice that we never took ours down from last year? I think that works for us.
What a cool idea to jump rope with the lights. Keep it out for the summer when their feet won't freeze!
