The cat in the Hat

The cat in the hat is a girl and does not really clean up her play things when she leaves! I know because she moved in on my street.
What's worse is she came over when we were gone fulfilling our callings, and turned my son into thing 1 and thing 2!
Here's the story, told from my girls perspective. (I didn't think to take pictures until it was all cleaned up.)

The sun was so bright.
It was too hot to play
So we sat in the house
On that hot, hot, hot day.

Mommy was out
And Daddy was too
And we said "how we
Wish we had something to do."

And then something went Knock
And with that knock came a shock!
We looked and we saw her walk right in the door.
That was only the beginning, there was oh so much more!

We told her to go, that we could not play.
She said her mom told her to stay.
She ran in circles, throwing things as she passed,
We could not stop her she was having a blast!

Little brother escaped, he went outside!
We've got to get him, then this mess we will hide.
The neighbors all wet, there he is with the hose.
Too late, but we got him. The water , off it goes.

Then back inside to clean up the fray.
And Harrisen goes back outside to play.
"She's on the computer, call mom quick"
Turn the hose off real tight, that should do the trick.

Finally she's out now isn't that grand!
Then Harrisen came in with the hose in hand.
He wants his sisters to turn it on "no way!"
But then "She" is outside to rescue his day.

The stairs are all wet, the walls and lights too.
Now what are we supposed to do?
Finally she left, and we got the hose back,
Harrisen climbs into the pool out back.

Oh good! Here's mom to rescue the day.
She tries to get him but he runs away.
That doesn't stop her as she climbs right in,
Fully clothed, even shoes on, she is soaked to the skin.

As we walk inside water drips from the ceiling.
What could make this day any more appealing?
Clean clothes on the floor, the chairs are all tipped,
The computer's messed up, look out she just slipped.

Mom puts him to bed then we try to clean up,
As we tell her about the girl,
Who decided to show up.

Needless to say the girl is not allowed over for a very long time and Harrisen is grounded.
But the girls were great to handle things as good as they did.

Oh and um, sorry to all the neighbors who were soaked by my son.
