The fruit of our labor

Our lettuce is ready. For dinner tonight we were able to enjoy a garden fresh salad along with our main dish. The lettuce was straight from the garden, (not the tomatoes yet though). We topped our salad with home made Olive Garden dressing, and it was absolutely fabulous!
Olive Garden salad dressing: YUMMY

½ c. white vinegar
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. veg. Oil
¼ c. corn syrup
2 ½ tbs grated Romano cheese
2 tbs dry pectin
2 tbs egg (beaten)
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp minced garlic
¼ tbs dried parsley flakes
Pinch of dried oregano
Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
Combine all ingredients in blender for about 30 seconds. Chill at least 1 hour.

I showed my husband your lettuce and I think he started drooling.

I am so jealous and I can't wait for our garden to look like yours!
